Theatre has been a part of my life since I was a little girl and continued throughout college and even into adulthood. Then finally getting to merge my two greatest passions, teaching children and Theatre, through a random hallway conversation, and becoming part of the "dynamic duo" team with Ms. Ali since 2016, has been one of my greatest professional achievements.
"Theatre has always been my passion and participating in Theatre always felt like I had a place to belong and where I was recognized for my creativity. Now, as a teacher, my greatest hope is that in some way I might be able to help define a similar purpose for my students; whether it be acting on stage, becoming a backstage techie, showing kindness, pursuing knowledge, figuring out sports is more your thing, or experiencing what it means when we say, 'Theatre is Family'. While I am only one small blip on a child’s lifeline, I hope that in some way they will be able to look back and realize that this time spent in Theatre class has contributed to the purpose they will someday fulfill."
While teaching Theatre is my greatest professional achievement, what I am most proud of is my family life. I am a wife to my college sweetheart, Donnie, and the proud mother of 4 amazing children - Ashlyn, Chase, Katie Grace and Colton. The older 3 each have their own unique and creative talents in Visual Art, Chorus, and Theatre, while the youngest is happiest when he has a ball in his hand and his feet in the grass.

Alexandra “Ali” Wambold is native to Savannah, Ga. She has been active in the Dance scene here for most of her life and added Theatre to the mix when she was in high school. She attended Valdosta State University where she received a degree in Public Relations and Theatre with an emphasis in Dance. There she developed her love of Theatre while continuing her studies of dance techniques in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Social Dance. Her favorite techniques would have to be Fosse and Limón. She then attended Armstrong Atlantic State University to obtain her Masters in Early Childhood Education. Ali became Theatre Program Director at Esther F. Garrison School for the Arts in the year 2016-2017. She is also active with the Savannah Children’s Theatre where she often choreographs for summer camps along with various other roles she takes on. Some of her favorite Theatre productions and roles have been Mazie in Seussical the Musical, Connie in A Chorus Line, and Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man. “I cannot begin to express my excitement to be sharing my passion for theatre each day with students of all ages. Garrison Actors Academy has become my family and home. I can wait to see all the memories we make together!”
